Making a World of Difference through OHTA
Globally, 2,000,000 lives are lost each year to occupational illness and 35,000,000 new cases of work-related illness are reported due to chemical hazards alone! Preventable, work-related illness and death are increasing in developing nations, yet not enough OH/IH practitioners are available to meet the growing need, because of difficulties recruiting them or the lack of affordable, quality education to train local people on fundamental skills for improving workplace health and safety.
