Minamata Convention on Mercury to Phase Out Mercury Use in Thirty Years.
Global action pledged to protect human health and the environment from anthropogenic emissions and releases of mercury and mercury compounds! The Minamata Convention on Mercury was adopted and opened for signature on 10 October 2013, at a UNEP diplomatic conference in Kumamoto, Japan. 91 countries and the European Union signed the Convention.
